“A new way to tell an old story.” Kind of the reason we do church the way we do, but this is not the subject of this blog. I watched a brand new television show tonight and was really surprised. The name of the show is “Kings” on NBC. Kings is a modern new way of telling the story of King David and King Saul in the Bible. These are a few of the characters: King Saul- Silas, David- David Shepherd, The prophet Samuel- Reverend Samuels just to name a few. In fact without giving too much away, David Shepherd faces off against a tank that is known as Goliath and ends up taking it out. The show was very good and an ingenious way to tell the story in a modern relevant way. Everyone should definitely check it out. Crazy concept, “a new way to tell an old story,” I like it!
